Domestic Law

Domestic law is the first which provides rules of the game to individuals and communities to regulate their conduct and behaviour. However, particularly in Third World countries, the laws and legal systems are exploitative breeding distrust, disturbance, violence with its gravest form of terrorism. Terrorism is always local which becomes international or global when international actors exploit public distrust to manipulate their economic or security interests by destabilizing governments or states. Good governance and good law and inter-dependent. No good law no good governance. Experts of the Centre are studying existing laws, rules and regulations so that bad laws may be replaced by good laws. Certainly, legislating in the function of elected representatives of the people who are forming governments on the basis of principle of majority. Thus, the Centre has also embarked on different projects for study of different aspects of political system i.e. voting behaviour of people, political parties, electoral system and finally constitutional systems. Strong states are always based on good political and governance systems without any foul playing or exploitation. Legislative process is also the subject of the experts of the Centre.
